School Is Coming Back

Whether your children or yourself like it or not, it's time for school to get started again. We're excited to say that we've put together a few tips for making sure that everyone stays safe during the school year. For parents:
  • If you drive your children, be patient and make sure not to drive quickly in morning traffic.
  • If you drop your child off at the school, never drop them off in a place where traffic is moving.
  • Make sure your car is in good condition.
  • Always buckle up for safety.
For parents who let their kids come home from school, remind them to:
  • Always lock the door behind them when they get home.
  • Call and let you know when they get to the house.
  • Don't cook anything that requires high heat or flames when you get home.
  • If something goes wrong and you must leave the house, go to the nearest neighbor that you trust.
For teenagers who drive themselves to school:
  • Don't use your phone at all while driving. It can wait!
  • Pay attention to the road and know who has right of way when then time comes.
  • Sleep well each night.
  • It's better to ride alone than with friends, but if a friend rides with you, make sure they are respectful of your driving duties.
